Kate's work is an exploration of colour relationships in the place where the colour meets and in the movement of colour through its medium. She looks for robustness both aesthetically and practically which allows the engagement with the work to be relaxed and confident, stimulating both visual and tactile senses.

Kate studied at Edinburgh College of Art between 1980 and 1984 and set up her studio in London in 1986. She has been involved in a wide range of art and design projects working for exhibitions, installations and commissions, and with architects and manufacturers.

Kate has worked with architects such as Sir Michael Hopkins, Rivington Street Studio, Allies and Morrison and Wilkinson Eyre and designers including Sir Paul Smith, Donna Karan and Christopher Farr.
