The design for this rug was taken from a painting of a skyscraper in Manhatten, yet the work is probably destined for use on the floor. This concept takes the rug beyond formalism, lending the piece an edgy and
unexpected quality. Important here are the angle of the grid and the choice of the colors. The friction between the precise, hard image and the slow, seductive process of the weaving gives the rug an unforgettable presence.
